King Soopers Cards BIG Changes

King Soopers Cards BIG Changes

As you may have heard there are BIG changes to the King Soopers Fundraiser for Liberty Band.   After March 31st reloading funds on your gift card will no longer fund Liberty Band Boosters or your students accounts.  This is a change made by King Soopers and how they donate to non-profit organizations.  Instead they are rolling out a new program  April 1st called King Soopers Community Rewards. It will pay a percentage based on all your purchases with your membership card or alternate ID.  All the instructions on how to enroll in this new program are in your email and on wil be placed on Facebook. (if you did not receive an email, please contact libertybandboosters@gmail.com)  They are step by step instructions so please read thoroughly and carefully as most all questions should be answered in there.   Please note that if you have money currently on your gift card it will NOT expire until all funds are spent.  In fact you can load your card March 31st or before, enroll in the new program and then spend your card after April 1st, thus double dipping for this time.

Mandatory Dallas Meeting and Booster Meeting

Tomorrow evening, Monday March 18, will be a mandatory meeting for all parents of students going on the Dallas trip.  Meeting is 6:30 PM LHS Gym 

Our travel coordinator Ken Overboe will be going over details of the trip.  

Also, immediately following will be the March General Booster Meeting.  Please stick around for a short meeting and find out any other details of booster activity including announcement of new board candidates, upcoming changes to King Soopers cards, upcoming band calendar - remaining schedule for school year ( 2019 Marching band mini-camp is approx 77 days away  ). 

Please refer to your March 17, 2019 email for minutes from the January General Meeting.

Scrip gift cards will be available.  Yard sign orders will be available (Seniors?)

Solo / Ensemble Judges and Directors Dinner 2019

Sorry this is such late notice on this but, our Judges and Band Directors have 2 full evenings for Solo and Ensemble on March 11th and 12th.

To reward them for their dedicated work, and to sustain them and keep them coming back, we are providing dinner each evening. Please plan for 10-12 people.

Hostess will help set up, receive donations, serve, and clean up after.  Dinner will be at 6 PM.

Tues Feb 26 - Band Auditions

Tues Feb 26 -  Butterbraid Fundraiser info passed out in class

Wed Feb 27 - California Pizza Kitchen is coming up on Wednesday from 11am - 10pm.  Get Flyer at Liberty.band  Should be a great day to meet a friend for lunch or take the family to dinner.

Thurs Feb 28 - Band Concert in the Gym at 7:00 PM

Thurs Feb 28 - Lulu's fundraiser- go get LuLu's frozen yogurt after the concert and a portion will come back to the band

Sat March 2 -  Air Force Concessions  WE NEED YOU to help us with this fun fundraiser. We need cashiers (super easy job) and an adult helper.   This is a double header so you can sign up for one or both time slots.  Click here to sign up.  Please encourage your nearly 16 and older student to signup as well in the band room.

March 21 - Butterbraid Fundraiser  delivery all orders will need to be picked up at this time 

March 21 - Large Ensemble Concert -   7PM in the gym 

    

 MATTRESS FUNDRAISER INFO

Less than 2 weeks left to promote the Mattress Fundraiser!  Take a few minutes this week to remind your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers about the fundraiser.  Take flyers to sporting events and other activities you have for the next 10 days!  If you haven't already, text Liberty to 719-749-1941 and send the reply to your friends!!!

The Mattress Fundraiser is less than 2 weeks away! We will have a mattress showroom with 25+ floor models set up at Liberty High School on Saturday,March 9^th from 10am-5pm.  All beds are available in all sizes, brand new, made to order, and come with factory warranties.  In addition, we will have sheets, pillows, mattress protectors, even ADJUSTABLE POWER BASES and MASSAGE CHAIRS!!!  All sales benefit the Band Program!

We have less than 3 weeks until our Mattress Fundraiser!!!

It is critical that everyone helps us by spreading the word about this unique event.  As usual, our results will be a direct reflection of our efforts going into our 3^rdannual mattress sale.  Tell your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers about the sale.  Our goal is to sell 100 beds so we take home more money with the battle of the bands! We don't have to sell products, fill out order forms, handle money or deliver anything, we just promote!

Hello Jazz Parents,

Just a reminder Swinging Sweets is coming this Friday, February 1st from 7-9 PM  at Fellowship Bible Church, 5590 N. Nevada Ave. 80918 

• Get your advanced tickets from Mr.Hedding/Miss Romero for $5 or online at www.liberty.band for $5.45.   Tickets will be available at door for $7
• This is a fundraiser so the more the merrier.  Invite your friends, neighbors, and encourage them to come.  You can use the Facebook invite.

For those of you who are unaware these Jazz events GREATLY reduces our personal out of pocket expenses for the Greeley Jazz Festival in April.  The Greeley Jazz Festival is the definite highlight of our kids jazz band year.
