Hello Band Parents, 

This is a reminder that we will be having our May General Booster meeting on Thursday, May 4th at 6:30 at LHS. We will be voting on new board members and hearing about what is going on with our very busy band program. We look forward to seeing you on Thurs. Attached to this email are the minutes from the previous General meeting. 

For Marching band parents: Tuesday at 6:30 is the last scheduled Mandatory meeting for parents of students that will be in marching band for the 17-18 school year. If you have not already attended one of the meeting last week, please plan to attend on Tuesday evening.

Lastly, Don't forget to sign up to attend the End of the Year Band banquet. This is an evening for every family that has participated in any of the bands this year. The evening will include dinner, an award ceremony and dancing. This will be an evening to relax, hang out with your favorite band family, and celebrate all that the Liberty band program has accomplished this year! (and we have accomplished A LOT!)

Banquet forms are due Friday May 5th. Forms and payment can be turned into the red mailbox

Graduation Yard Signs - 2017

Liberty Parents,

Now is the time to order your son or daughter's Liberty Graduation Yard Sign.  The Liberty Band Boosters are now selling these signs for the upcoming Liberty 2017 graduation.  Please look for an email with the attached flyer for cost and graduation designs.  Print out the Yard Sign order form included in the flyer with payment and include both in an envelope.  You or your student can drop off the envelope in the Red Mailbox in the band room.  Write Yard Sign Order on the front of the envelope.

Deadline to order signs is April 26, 2017.

Signs to be delivered by Friday, May 12, 2017.

Greenery Pickup this Saturday (3 Dec)

Liberty Parents,

Just a final reminder that your students can pick up their Greenery orders this Saturday (3 Dec) from 10:00am to Noon at Liberty High School.  Please have your students pick up all their orders for their customers unless they have already coordinated with their customer(s) to pick up themselves.  As a reminder, Pine Creek Football is hosting a football game at the District 20 stadium at 1:00pm.  They are expecting over 5,000 to attend so the earlier you pick up on Saturday the better.

Marching Band/Color Guard Uniform turn in

Marching Band Families

It's that time of year...time to turn in our CLEAN marching band/color guard uniforms.  The turn in dates are this Thursday and Friday November 10 and 11, after school until 4:30pm.  Please make sure you clean all parts of your uniform (jacket, bibs and gauntlets...color guard costume and skirts).  Please turn in all parts CLEAN or you will be fined $20.  To ensure a smooth turn in, we have asked that all section leaders assist in this process.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Tricia Taylor.  The washing instructions for the uniform are on the liberty.band website.  Color Guard uniforms are to be hand washed only!

Regionals VOLUNTEERS and DONATIONS
HERE YE, HERE YE

Tis time for all hands on deck as we prepare for another great year as hosts for the CBA Southern Regionals.  If you are available that day to help, please use the VOLUNTEER link below to sign up.  For those unable to make any time commitments there are many donations needed as well, please see the DONATIONS link to signup below.

There are LOTS of positions so read through carefully before signing up. If you are available for the whole day sign-up for two slots. Don't worry if they overlap a little. If you need to vary your time slightly or are in PIT CREW leave me a message in your comments field. Volunteers will be given a hot dog, chips, snacks & drinks. Arrive a few minutes before your shift to check-in with the volunteer coordinators (visitor locker room). You can bring extra food/drink and layers of clothing and leave in that area. Depending on your position, you may want to bring a camp chair. Liberty Band Spirit Wear is encouraged. There will be training for volunteers on Monday 10/17 at 6:30 pm in the Band room. All Liberty folks are reminded to park across the street at St. Gabriel's church the day of the event.

DONATIONS are one of the many ways to be involved and support Regionals. Items can be found in grocery or warehouse stores and would need to be dropped off on Monday evening at 6:00 pm in the band room (or make other arrangements with me). If you'd like to help (but donating cash & having us do the shopping would be easier) place a monetary donation in the red mailbox in an envelope titled Regionals Donation before the 10/17 training meeting. It's Marching Band Competition time. 

Legacy MB Dinner 9.24.16

Join us in feeding the marching band at the Legacy competition this Saturday on 9.24.16. You'd be amazed at what we can do with a generator, and some turkey fryers and roasters! In one afternoon, we'll prepare a hot meal to serve to 190 people. We need some parents to take food home for initial preparation, some parents to donate desserts, and a very special crew to actually put everything together Saturday afternoon at the festival and serve dinner. After clean-up, you'll have plenty of time to head into the stadium and enjoy the finals performances.
