Dear Marching Band Families,
 
Marching Band Camp is less than a week away!!

Hope your summer has been going well.  Camp kicks off on Monday July 25!     

There are many opportunities for you to become involved and to help make this year’s Marching Band Camp fun and successful. We have many needs to fit many schedules.

General Volunteers
Jobs include setting up shade/taking down shade shelters, filling/refilling ice/water, taking care of minor illness/injuries, providing support to Band Directors/Staff, assist where needed.  Morning shift stores food appropriately in kitchen or lounge. Putting everything away at end of day.  Mid-day shift (usually middle school students) sell candy and soda during  lunch time. Also a list of additional tasks and more specific instructions will be on hand. 
 Uniform Volunteers
Preparing uniforms for distribution by ironing sleeve and pant hemlines, assembling gauntlets, gloves, contracts in garment bags, labeling garment bags, shoes, hat boxes, etc.  Organizing Marching Band Uniforms and Concert Dress Uniforms.
 Closet Organizers 
Move all materials from the floor of the practice rooms, music library, and band closet on Monday so custodians can shampoo carpet.  Re-label everything with BIG LETTER labels.  Help move everything back on Tuesday morning.  Assist Band Directors/Staff as needed.
 Food Donations -
As always, please ensure your donation contains NO NUTS of any type.  We are feeding hungry teenagers; please plan portions generously!  Please provide donations in a disposable container, marked with your name.  You may drop you donation off at LHS in the morning with your student.  We will store them appropriately for the day.  
Fruit Tray instructions – Provide enough to serve 12, preferably cut up unless it will brown like bananas or apples.

Hello Band Families
We have one more day for uniform fittings before band camp.  Mrs. Weitzel and I had decided to start at 9am tomorrow instead of 11am.  We will be there 9am to 5pm.  Please know that if your student is unable to attend this fitting that he/she will be fitted during band camp.

Marching Uniform Fittings

Hello Marching Band Families!
It is time to be fitted for our uniforms for the 2016 Marching Band Season!  We will be fitting uniforms on Tuesday, July 12 from 11am-5pm (after rehearsal) and Tuesday, July 19 from 11am-5pm (Color Guard not needed during this fitting).  Please let me know if you cannot make either of those times, we will fit you during band camp.  Please know that these dates are the only dates we can get into the school before band camp.  We understand that some of you are on vacation or attending camps.  Don't worry, everyone will be fitted!!!
